Le Vieux Biac: the original 17th century “Château” is where we spent our holiday in the year 2000.

Never did we think that one day we would actually own this beautiful vineyard. Every year, we modernize it a bit so that you, our guests, can enjoy being on a vineyard without having the headaches of running it! (This, by the way, was our original plan!)

Le Vieux Biac retains a country style farmhouse feel: stone fireplaces, thick stone walls to provide you with welcoming cool temperatures during hot days in the summer. Three terraces offer lovely “al Fresco” dining areas. The pool is conveniently close to the house and there is (sometimes dodgy) wi-fi throughout.

Le Vieux Biac is divided into three duplex style “maisonettes”, all with fully equipped kitchens and sitting/dining areas with lovely different views from all windows. A separate laundry room is available for guests renting weekly in the summer. Gas barbecues are also provided as well as bathroom linen, and swimming pool towels. We can supply a cot, sheets and a high chair if needed.
Langoiran, our village, offers all the basic shops and amenities one would expect from a small typical French village: an amazing butcher shop, delicious bakery, very good “primeurs”, newsagent, pharmacy and excellent medical center. The supermarket complete with petrol station and take away pizzeria is conveniently located at the bottom of our main road and there are several cafes and restaurants in and around Langoiran.

The region is rich and generous in many appealing ways. Within a 30 km radius of Biac, activities of all kinds abound: cycling on the “Entre-deux-Mers” cycling track, canoeing on the Ciron river, riding through vineyards, waterskiing, tracking the famous St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrimage route at Abbaye de la Sauve, visiting the famous St Emilion village classified as a Unesco Heritage monument, discovering Bordeaux and its unique heritage (and shopping), wine tasting at some of the world famous or lesser known vineyards of the region, and exploring the many town markets. Should this not be enough, within one hour, you can sit on one of the Bassin d’Arcachon beaches and enjoy the Ocean.
